This section keeps you updated with new projects and activities organized by CentralAmericaDirect.

Environmental Education

CentralAmericaDirect had the initiative to promote a program to help the protection of Olive-Riddle turtles. The program had three stages:

Park rangers, volunteers and CentralAmericaDirect personnel visited the schools. A special feature was the talk given by park rangers to the local children, in which volunteers participated.

Children produced their own books about turtles with the help of the volunteers.

The most important element in the whole activity was the liberation of the baby turtles by the school children.

This was because, even though the children live so close, they had never before experience this. So the objective of the activity was fully achieved.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language

CentralAmericaDirect organized the donation of school materials and EFL books with the help of a local hotel-Hotel Club del Mar (LINK). www.clubdelmarcostarica.com
